Thursday June 23

Hi all,

This morning we handed in all our library books as it is the last week. If you have any at home, please return them ASAP! We talked about how to tell a quick story in a comic with an introduction, problem, and solution! They came home today if you want to read them. We did 41 for our number of the day. We did our last drumming lesson. Tomorrow we have a drumming assembly to show off what we've learned this year. We watched a Bill Nye about measurement because the weather did not cooperate for my lesson. Hopefully next week! We talked about life cycles of bugs and also did gym and sorted out our science folders.

Reminders:

Tuesday is the last day of school. It will be a normal full day.

There will be a goodbye assembly on the last day that parents are welcome to attend. Please join us in the gym at 1pm.

Report cards will be online. Check your mycbe account on the last day to access your child's marks and comments

Wednesday June 22nd

 Hi all,

This morning we organized all our monthly writing samples into a book to take home.  The idea is that these are the kids own writing, no help from adults other than a word bank. You can see your kids progression over the year as we learn to write more and learn more techniques such as punctuation and spelling rules. Enjoy reading your children's work over grade 2!

We also did some mathletics and word work as we did the 'ng' comprehension passage. We played on the compound for gym and then put some more work in folders to take home.

Reminders:

Tuesday is the last day of school. It will be a normal full day.

There will be a goodbye assembly on the last day that parents are welcome to attend. Please join us in the gym at 1pm.

Thursday June 16th

 Hi all,

This morning we had a special presentation to learn about life in the past for the Acadian people! We made butter which came home today, we painted lighthouses, and we played some games too! It was a great morning!

This afternoon we talked about non standard measurement and practiced on some worksheets. We did a survey for our drum circle starting next week. We played some kickball outside, and read some more of Jack and Annie's adventures in Australia.

Have a great night!
